Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Sunday baking with kids | Pizza is a universal favorite of all the kids. I feel guilty of not letting kids enjoy pizza often. The reason being that it tops high on my list of junk food.

Thanks to this healthy version of pizza which is made out of cauliflower and eggs, we make it very regularly at home. It tastes a bit different than the usual pizza base but nevertheless it is quite yum.

Sharing the recipe here:

Ingredients:

  1. Grated cauliflower – 1 big

  2. Pizza sauce/ Pasta sauce

  3. Veggies as toppings:

  4. Onion

  5. Capsicum

  6. Mushrooms

  7. Olives

  8. 1 to 2 eggs

  9. Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese- 2 cups

Recipe:

Step 1: Grate cauliflower and cook it in microwave for 5-10 minutes

Step 2: Wrap the cooked cauliflower in a muslin cloth and drain the water nicely.

Step 3: Make sure there is no water left in the grated cauliflower

Step 4: Let it cool down

Step 5: Now add egg, cheese (1 cup) and cooled cauliflower. Mix well

Step 6: Lay a greased baking paper on a baking dish. Meanwhile Preheat oven at 200C

Step7: Flatten down the mixed batter in the shape of a round pizza base

Step 8: Bake at 220C for 10-15 minutes till cooked

Step 9: On the baked base, add the pizza sauce, pizza toppings and grated cheese

Step 10: Bake again for 10 minutes

Make it fun by getting your kids to:

  1. Put Pizza sauce, add toppings and cheese to the pizza

  2. Laying the table before the pizza is ready
